From time to time I really like me some NYC products because they're cheap and they're super cute. This light beam gloss is soo cool! It actually has a little built in flashlight so you can apply lipgloss in the dark (aka club).

So guess what? I'm finally done with finals! Friday was such an emotional day for me, I took my last exam, handed in my last assignment, my computer crashed, I got a cold, lost my R&R lipgloss, and this was all on 4 hours of sleep and a hangover headache. Now I just pray I passed my Operating Systems class, find my R&R lipgloss (it was a gift from Chris hehe) and I have a quick recovery so I can finally hit the clubs. It's been like 4 weeks! Ah!!!

I Need Nail Advice!

my nails have been so weak.
painfuly weak.

There are a few factors that play into this:
I sleep like crap, if I sleep at all (finals month/week)
I don't eat oh so well cuz I try to grab and go.
I'm constantly in dry areas (library basement/car)
I wash my hands often (public areas with the H1N1 going around - eww)
They're almost never painted anymore! (sad situation)

Ok so I find that my nails are less chip prone when they have a coat of polish on them. And there are some great ones out there for $5 - $20. Also, fish oil is sooo good for you! I know gross right? But the omegas in it are excellent for your hair, skin and nails. Here's what else I heard, prenatal vitamins! I may be locked in the library basement but it doesn't mean I don't browse online heehee

What do you think? How do you keep your nails strong in a bind with zero time?

Revlon Matte and Lustrous Lipsticks

I love anything Revlon.

When CVS was having another one of their BOGO sales for Revlon, I gave it and got the Matte Nude Attitude Lipstick, and to take advantage of the sale I got myself the Super Lustrous Lipstick in Champage on Ice.


These are so pretty! Look at the shimmer on the lustrous one!



To my surprise, when I looked really close to the matte lippie, I noticed the faintest pink sparkle. You can't see it in the store and you can't see it in your bathroom, but when you bring it up to a window... the natural light brings out the secrets of the lipstick. If you click on the image, you can see that the photograph captured that shimmer.



Also, to my surprise, this really was a nude lipstick! Usually drugstore lipsticks turn bright after 10 minutes of sitting on my lips but this baby lasted me for a few hours and kept true to its name, NUDE!

The lustrous lippie wasn't a favorite. Instead of giving a nice gold shimmer it had a darker brown undertone which felt a bit aged. Not a favorite, I'm sure I can work it though.



Have you tried these? Ya love 'em? Any additional colors you can suggest for me?

Apologies for going AWOL & Coastal Scents Haul

I haven't been on a glamorous tropical island but rather a dingy library basement working till wee hours of the morning on computer programs. I have bags under my eyes and my skin is sallow – thank G-d for make up!

But do not fret fair bloggers, for I have been online hauling. Here’s my little Coastal Scents haul:

I haven't tried the liner yet but the gloss is really nice and fun. The palette is where it's at. The colors are so beautiful - ultra wearable and soft and full of pigment.
