Splurge vs. Steal!
Essie Chastity vs Milani Tip Toe Pink

The reason this color (Essie Chastity) lured me in was Christopher's mother. This is her favorite pink! She wears it practically religiously on her toes whether it be a cold winter day with thick socks on, or a sunny summer afternoon with open toe wedges. However, I thought with my massively large nail polish collection, how often would I wear this color and do I really want to pay $8 for it to just lay around and get used a few times a year? No. It may not sound like a great deal for a nail polish, but to me, when I have such an extensive collection, $8 is a bit too much. So my dupe search began. Enter: Milani Tip Toe Pink. The perfect and exact match! Truly! A beautiful cool creamy pink perfect for winter and summer.

My First Sleek Palette!
(And Urban Decay Ink for Eyes)

*loud shreek*

Ok, so I've been playing with my NEW SLEEK PALETTE for about a week now. Thank you to the wonderful Charlotte over at Lipglossiping. I had won a day from her Christmas Advent Giveaway (the Urban Decay Ink for Eyes - green shade) and kindly asked her to purchase a Sleek Palette for me. These colors are so amazing and so wearable and one palette will take you from day to night in a heartbeat.

Check out the colors below.
All images are clickable - as always.

Left side with direct sunlight and in natural light.
[[My favorite is the third from the top,
a matte milk chocolate color.
Perfect for those 'no-makeup' days]]

Right side with direct sunlight and in natural light.

Ah! This is so beautiful, I haven't even touched it yet. I think I'm going to give this to my aunt who will wear this much much more than I will. But believe me, I am still greatful for winning, thank you Charlotte!

Chain Bracelets

I know I have been gone for a long time.
I'm sorry.
Wanna know what I've been doing?
Ok ok I'll tell you...
JEWELRY MAKING!

This started off as something just blah. But it turned out to be so beautiful and ultra gold. However, after looking at it for two weeks it looks yellow so I have mixed feelings.

This one is very special. It's a thank you for a good friend of mine. *smiles*

Four Strand Lariat

So a quick background here.

These are individual strands (four to be exact) of a seed bead (they tiny ones) and glass bead/pearl pattern. When I first started making this, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do but I knew the colors, so I must have re-beaded the pattern about 6 times before settling down with the two I have here. I really love them and already wore them out.

I wanted something neutral that I can wear to work and also wear out and would match any color so I chose gold (my current go-to metal of choice) and a slate grey to add a touch of cool. Ya like it? *beaming smile*

Benefit Thrrrob (and some powder pop!)

So a little while back I had won Niki's Giveaway @ Purple Crown Princess - I won Benefit's Thrrrob! And today it came in the mail, hooray!

All of these photos are clickable, so feel free to really get a close look at the powder. I would have loved to do some swatches but they all came out like junk. I have not tried this on my cheeks yet but the powder was very finely milled and had a nice cool fucia color. Also, to my surprise, it had silver specks. I call them specks because they were too find to be called glitter, but also too chunky to be called shimmer. They certainly add a little fun to your day or night look.

And the packaging? To die for! It's so naughty and sexy with the red and pink corset lace on the top and the fishnets on the bottom. You're in for a ride!

The point of this blush is to give you a sexy flush - like after a hot romp. Or not. I have a few other frightfully matte pink blushes that, once applied correctly, simply make you glow from within.

I also have Benefit's Powder Pop which I absolutely LOVE! Mainly because I find Hula to be the most amazing contouring bronzer. Nonetheless, the trio also contains Dandelion and Dallas. Dallas is a warm plum blush which complements my skin tone so nicely (which reminds me I should wear it more often). However, I find Dandelion to be so sheer that there is just no way it will stick to my skin. Mainly this is there for those "shimmery" purposes, when you don't want to add color to your face just a bit of shimmer for a dewy look, this is the go-to. Perhaps this would be better over a bubble gum pink cream blush...? Does anyone else have this problem with this blush?

Take care lovelies and thank you again Niki!

NewBeauty Magazine

NewBeauty Magazine

I just made out a check for $29.95 for a one year magazine subscription.
Am I crazy? Maybe.

Especially because the 'year' subscription includes 4 issues, one per season. Ok, deffinetly crazy. Now tell me, was it worth it?

Does anyone else subscribe this magazine, or maybe you're just drawn to it at the book store? I hope it was worth it! AND to top it off, when I get my magazine, I get something they call a TestTube. Which is a box full of top name brand testers! Woo hoo me!

Nude Soldiers

I love me some nude creamy lipsticks. These are my guys:

L-R Smashbox Charming, VS Scrumptious, Lancome Natural Beauty, Yves Rocher Blushed Nude, Shu Uemura Serene Pink, Lancome Schoolgirl, Revlon Matte Nude Attitude, ELF Mineral Natural Nymph, Prestige Spunky

They all bring a little something special to the table. Some are darker than others and some are way more washy than others thus a lipgloss is needed. I know nude lips are the thing these days so I'm wonder what lipsticks can you share with me?
